W H O W E A R EABOUT OUR GROUP
Founded in 2025, the Cambridge Psychedelic Research Group (CPRG) is a ground-breaking, multi-institutional partnership between the University of Cambridge, the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT), and the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH). The group brings together expertise across psychiatry, neuroscience, and clinical trial design to investigate the therapeutic potential of classic psychedelics, empathogens, and dissociative compounds in mental disorders.
Our mission is to develop, test, and implement safe, inclusive, and evidence-based psychedelic therapies for people living with serious mental illness. We pursue this through community-based research, academic-industry partnerships, and international collaborations — with a commitment to ensuring that psychedelic therapies are developed with, and effective for, the diverse populations they aim to serve.
